Driver's Ed Tests
Everything you need to pass your written and driving exams
Know Before You Go
Passing your New Mexico driver's license exam starts with knowing what to expect. We prepare our students for both the written knowledge test and the behind-the-wheel skills test — so you walk in confident and walk out licensed.
Knowledge Test (Written Exam)
The New Mexico MVD written knowledge test covers traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices. You must pass this test before you can take the behind-the-wheel skills test.
Behind-the-Wheel Skills Test
The skills test evaluates your ability to safely operate a vehicle in real traffic conditions. Our training puts you in real-world scenarios so this test feels like just another drive.
Tips for Passing
Study the New Mexico Driver Manual — available free at any MVD office or online at mvd.newmexico.gov.
Know your road signs. A large portion of the written test focuses on sign recognition.
Practice in real traffic, not just parking lots. Our program puts you on actual roads from day one.
Arrive early and bring required documents: proof of identity, Social Security number, and NM residency.
Stay calm. Our instructors train you specifically for the conditions you'll face on test day.
